This service builds on successes already achieved in Upstream Operational Excellence. It describes how Upstream Production, supported by Wells and Projects, shall deliver and sustain top performance from our clients’ producing assets and ensure that the assets are safe.

Blast furnace flue dusts are a mixture of oxides expelled from the top of the blast furnace whose major components are iron oxides. They also contain zinc, silicon, magnesium and other minor element oxides in lesser amounts. The direct recycling of flue dust is not usually possible since it contains some undesirable elements (zinc and alkaline metals) that can cause operational difficulties in the blast furnace.

A concise and accurate methodology has been developed using well known software packages to predict the type and amount of inhibitor required during sudden depressurization of a system to prevent hydrate formation. The outlined procedure exhibits the P-T history of the system and hence the hydrate formation temperature profile.

In order to establish, develop and grow in the Upstream Business, being equipped with the how to do business best practices and standards is essential. However we in NAPTA Corporation strongly believe that People Capability is the fundamental winning differentiator.

The business objectives or strategic drivers for each project are different and the relative importance of performance indicators or ‘Metrics’ for each project will also be different. As a special Project Service, NAPTA has been equipped with the first in class methodology of doing Upstream E&P projects benchmarking in favour of having Top Quartile (TQ) performance for the specific project strategic driver(s) and in an apple to apple manner.

How is Operation Safety linked with Process Safety? Process Safety Management is about prevention of incidents resulting from unintentional release of energy or hazardous substances from assets we operate.

Given the nature of the risks involved, ensuring the safety and integrity of E&P Assets is paramount to NAPTA. For us, process safety means making sure our wells and facilities are well designed, safely operated, and properly inspected and maintained.

Getting HSSE&SP (Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Performance) right in projects means identifying the risks, managing them, and being able to demonstrate that they are under control. To do so, the right organisation, plans and resources need to be in place.

The NAPTA’s Project Strategic Decision & Risk Management Guide is one of a series of guidance documents that support its PDP® as specified in the Project Development Standards (PDS®). The PDS® sets out the minimum mandatory requirements for Strategic Decision & Risk Management in Opportunities undertaken by NAPTA Corporation.
